Home Wi-Fi setup and Ethernet cable, done right
If the Wi-Fi is the problem, more Wi-Fi usually isn't the answer.
The router the internet company gave you is sitting in a closet at one end of the house, behind a water heater, doing its best. Meanwhile the TV, two streaming boxes, a desktop, a console, a couple of smart speakers, a thermostat and everybody's phone are all talking to it through two walls.
Adding another extender to that doesn't fix it. Taking things off it does.

Signs this is your problem

What I do
Cable to the things that shouldn't be on Wi-Fi
TVs, streaming boxes, desktops, consoles and access points get a Cat6 run. Terminated to T568B, every drop wiremap-tested, labeled at both ends and documented. A wired device doesn't compete with every phone in the house for Wi-Fi airtime, and that leaves the Wi-Fi for the phones.
Access points instead of extenders
Access points go where the house needs them, wired back to the network, instead of extenders daisy-chained off each other and losing speed at every hop.
A network that's actually set up
Defaults changed. Firmware current. Smart-home and guest devices on their own network, away from the computers with your files on them. If yours has never had any of this done, it's usually not because anyone was careless. The guy who set it up was there to get the internet working, and then he left.
Cleanup
The panel, the rack and the spaghetti behind the TV, labeled and put into something the next person can work on.
At the end you get a written page of what's where, with the passwords. They're yours.

What it costs
Wi-Fi access point
$150 each
That's the labor to mount it and set it up. If the spot needs a cable run, that goes on the written quote.
Service call
$125
For when something stopped working and you want it fixed. It covers the first hour on site within 15 miles of DeSoto, then it's $85/hr. Travel is only charged on paid work, and it's on the written quote. The free look never has a travel fee. I quote it before I start, and a text is fine.

Every house is different, so there's no per-drop price here.
Parts (the router, the access points, the cable) are billed separately, on the written quote, and anything with a maker's warranty is registered in your name. The prices above are labor.
Every home job comes with a limited 90-day warranty on my workmanship, in writing, and 30 days of support after it: questions, configuration help and guidance by phone, text or email. Read it

It depends on the house: how long the runs are, what's in the attic, one story or two, and what the walls are made of. So I don't post a per-drop price.
