Ironclad Technologies

Who I am

This website belongs to Ironclad Technologies, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (SOS file no. 806792020), based in DeSoto, TX. I’m Josh Molina, the owner. I do the work myself, with a helper on jobs that need two people. Call or text (214) 316-8238, WhatsApp the same number, or email jmolina@ironclad-technologies.com.

What this site is

The information on this site is general. Prices shown are labor prices; parts are billed separately, as listed on your written quote. For any job, your written quote and the signed terms that come with it are what govern the work. Nothing on this site, in a quote or in those terms overrides rights the law gives you.

What I do, and what needs another trade

My work is low-voltage: network, Wi-Fi, data and AV cabling, TV and media setups, and computers.

New outlets and other line-voltage wiring are an electrician’s job. This site doesn’t offer either. If your job needs one, I’ll tell you so you can bring in the right trade.

The free look, service calls and travel

The first look is free: by appointment, one per household for homes, in DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Lancaster, Dallas, Oak Cliff and Grand Prairie. It covers coming out to see the problem and telling you what the fix costs. Any work is quoted in writing before it starts.

  • A service call is $125 for the first hour, with travel within 15 miles of DeSoto included, then $85/hr.
  • For businesses, after-hours work is billed at my after-hours rate, and the quote shows it.
  • On a computer, if finding the problem takes real bench time, that’s $125 for the first hour and $95/hr after.
  • For paid work, travel past the first 15 miles from DeSoto is $0.75 a mile, one way, and it’s on the quote. The free look has no travel charge.
  • A service call or bench time is quoted in writing before I start. A text counts.

Quotes, deposits and payment

  • Work is quoted in writing before it starts. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
  • To book the date: parts in full plus 50% of the labor, paid before the job is scheduled. For a PC build, that’s paid before parts are ordered.
  • The balance is due the day the work is finished, or on delivery for a PC build.
  • Jobs under $300 are billed in full on completion.
  • If something unexpected would change the price, work stops and you’re told before anything changes.

How cancelling works, including the 3-business-day right to cancel when it applies, is on the Refunds & cancellations page.

Warranty and support

I give a limited 90-day warranty on my workmanship, in writing. If covered work of mine fails within 90 days of the day the job is finished (or of delivery, for a PC build), I fix it at no charge for labor.

Parts and equipment carry their manufacturers’ warranties; anything with a maker’s warranty is registered in your name. On home and business jobs, during those 90 days I also swap a failed part I supplied at no charge for labor. For PC builds, I help identify the failed part at no charge during those 90 days, and the claim goes to the manufacturer; if you want me to handle the manufacturer claim, that’s billed at my hourly rate.

30 days of support is included after a home job or a PC build: questions, configuration help and guidance by phone, text or email.

If a PC build comes back for warranty service and I find no workmanship defect, a $95 diagnostic fee applies. It’s waived when a covered defect is confirmed.

Your written terms list what the warranty doesn’t cover.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty, or anywhere on this site, limits any implied warranty or any other right the law doesn’t let you give up.

Back up your data

Please back up anything you want to keep before any service, repair, migration or warranty work. If you can’t, tell me before I start, and I can quote a backup first.

Using this website

To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for losses that come from using this website itself, such as a page being unavailable. This doesn’t limit my responsibility for work I do for you, or any right the law gives you.

Texas law and where disputes go

If something goes wrong, please contact me first. These terms are governed by Texas law. Any court case goes in the courts of Dallas County, Texas, unless the law gives you the right to bring your claim somewhere else.

Nothing here limits your rights

Nothing on this site limits rights the law doesn’t let you give up.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. A job already agreed in writing keeps the terms you signed.
