The difference between a TV on a wall and a media room.
A mounted TV is a mounted TV. A media room is everything you don't see: the HDMI and speaker runs inside the wall, the equipment somewhere ventilated and reachable, the speaker wire pulled before anyone patched the drywall, and one remote that works.
TV mounting, labor: $150 up to 55 inches, $240 for 56 inches and up.

What I do
- TVs and projectors mounted and aligned, on structure, not drywall anchors.
- HDMI, speaker and network cables run inside the wall, out of sight.
- Surround and in-ceiling speaker wire, pulled and terminated.
- Equipment racks and shelves: ventilated, reachable, labeled.
- Streaming boxes and consoles wired to the network, so they don't depend on the Wi-Fi.
- A pull string or conduit left in the wall for the next upgrade.
Low-voltage only, never power
Everything here is HDMI, speaker, network and AV cabling, mounting and setup. Hiding the TV's power cord in the wall, or adding an outlet behind the TV, is line-voltage work, and that's an electrician's job. If your room needs it, I'll tell you so you can bring in the right trade.

In-wall runs, speakers, projectors and racks. Every room is different. Patching and paint aren't included unless they're on the quote.
Parts are billed separately, on the written quote: the mount, the cables, the wall plates. The prices above are labor.

Built so it can be opened again
I spent a few years on commercial AV jobs, and that work assumes somebody will open the room again: to swap a projector, trace a run or add a source. So every run I pull is labeled at both ends and written down, and the equipment stays where you can reach it.
When a run isn't labeled or written down, the next person has to open the wall to find out what's in it. Doing it right takes a little more time up front. It's the difference between a room you can upgrade and a room you have to redo.

First, a five-minute phone call, so I know what to bring and you know who's coming. Then I come see the room. If what you've got is a ten-minute fix you can do yourself, I'll show you and head out. You get a quote only if there's real work worth doing, and only if it fits what you need and want to spend.
